Winter 

The best time to visit this area is from December until March, which is the winter season. The weather during this time will be sunny and dry, even if it is a bit cold. You can also visit during April or May, but the temperatures rise along with the humidity. This is one of the best times to visit Mararikulam if you want to be able to enjoy the water. Some of the resorts have pools, which can be availed during the summer months

Summer 

June and July and the end of October until December are not ideal tourist season. During this time the area receives an incredible amount of rain, which would dampen the spirits and the trip. The rain that is received is because of the monsoons that hit the area. The incredible amount of rain that is received will cool down the temperatures, but it will make going outside of the hotel room a hassle and is not something that is recommended.
