By Road

Ratnagiri is well connected by road to many important cities. The Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation has several buses that are available from Mumbai, Nagpur and Pune that you can avail to get to the city. National Highway 204 also connects Ratnagiri to cities like Sangli, Nanded and Kolhapur.

By Train

Ratnagiri railway station is 6 kilometers from the city and as part of the Konkan railway network is an important railway station on the route. There are many trains on the Konkan railway route and you can board any one of these numerous trains either from the South West or the North to reach Ratnagiri. If you are travelling from Mumbai then 5 kilometers before you reach the station you will pass through Karbude Tunnel which at 6.6 kilometers is one of Asia’s longest tunnels.

By Air

Ratnagiri has a domestic airport which is located at a distance of 12 kilometers from the city. Regular flights are available to and from important cities like Pune, Mumbai as well as other important cities in India. Upon disembarking at the airport you can hire a private taxi services to go to the city. The nearest International airport is in Mumbai which is 340 kilometers away.
