Taj ul Masjid in Madhya Pradesh

Located in the capital city of MP, Bhopal, Taj-Ul-Masjid is the biggest mosque in India. Its name literally means ‘The Crown of Mosques’ which can be held true given the stunning architecture of this winsome monument.

Spanning a long period that saw the succession of several Begums of Bhopal, the construction was only completed recently in 1971, owing to the lack of funds which prevented it from getting finished promptly. The grandeur of the mosque is one to behold.

The façade of this ostentatious mosque is constructed in pink stone, while it houses two colossal towers featuring large white domes looking up to the sky. The three large domes of Taj-Ul-Masjid along with the attractively built hallway look extremely beguiling too, especially with the complementing expanse of flooring made with polished marble, eleven archways and a massive courtyard. The visitors to this place are drawn due to its imposing Islamic architecture and imperious construction.
