How to Reach gibraltar

You can also visit the island on many different cruises which all dock in Gibraltar Harbor. Also, the nearby Straight of Gibraltar is one of the many busy straights in the world and you will be able to see many different ships cruising by. You can get to the island by taking a ferry into the harbor from Tangier and even Algeciras.

There are quite a few ways to get here by road, boat and plane. You can fly into the Gibraltar airport which is one of the scariest airport landings in the world. You can fly into the airport from any different international airports including London, Manchester, Luton and others. However, there is not much demand for tickets so you will have to book in advance with some of the airlines that fly here on a regular basis. Otherwise, you can fly into the Málaga Airport which is located some 120 kilometers away in Spain. From here you can take a flight into Jerez Airport which is closer to the island or even take a helicopter to Cueta.

You can also take a train, but the closest way to get to the island is the San Roque station located in Spain and from there you can take a bus into the area.
