Betaab Valley

With lush green meadows and snow-capped mountains, this valley is the starting point for many trekkers in the Valley. There is a dense vegetation of conifers and lush green shrubs that captivate the true essence of Kashmir. Dotted with color huts, shelters and many different species of birds, this valley has a specialty in itself. In the Betab Valley, you can go horseback riding or even have a picnic on the banks of snow-fed, Jade River that bubbles down south from the snowy hills. The water of Jade is so pure that the locals here use it for drinking!

Location: Near Pahalgam, Baramulla, Hajan

How to reach: It is on the route of Amarnath Yatra in Hajan and can be reached by any means of public transport or by private vehicles as well.
