Spread over 119 hectares Dubai Safari Park is a zoo that homes 2,500 exotic wildlife from more than 250 species and different countries. A project by the Dubai Municipality, Dubai Safari park is committed to the welfare of the animals by maintaining a high standard, their nutrition and suitable habitat and environment.
The park is segregated into different villages, each comprising a unique landscape, beautiful lakes, waterfalls, and animals. During the hotter months, the park has installations to cool the temperature such as cool water bodies, misting fans, and air-conditioned artificial rocks. Remarkably, the park utilizes solar power to run the waterfall, street lights and trams, and cars.

Safari Village
At the Safari Village, one can tour the village through a bus ride along with a professional guide who will share interesting facts about the glorious beasts to be witnessed. Watch the hippo exhibit and the baboon canyon, come face to face with giraffes, zebras, and antelopes and drive through the exhibit of the majestic lions relaxing in their habitat. The tour ends with the glorious view of the white rhinos. Some of the other prominent animals here are the striped hyena, cheetah, deer, water buffalos and Nile crocodile.
African Village
As the name suggests, this is a village with spectacular mammals from Africa – big and small on display. From elephants to meerkat and everything in between. It also has the largest Aviary in Dubai where guests can sit and look up at the various birds from all over the planet flying above them. It also comprises of a reptile house which is a must visit for those who are fascinated by these cold-blooded animals. The village also has indoor and outdoor temperature-controlled areas for the popular primates of Africa – gorillas and chimpanzees. Watch the pygmo hippos swimming through underwater viewing. The most prominent animals here are the Komodo dragon, lemurs, flamingoes, African lion, and elephants.
Arabian Village
The tour begins from the sandy desert and rocky mountains Arabian Village wherein a tram with a guide will take you through the village and help spot the animals while explaining the facts about these beautiful creatures and the efforts the Dubai Conservation team is taking to help them get back into the wild. The most prominent animals here are an ostrich, gazelle, Arabian wolves, oryx, ibex, mouflon and saiga antelopes.
Asian Village
An exciting walk through the forest whilst spotting the natives of Asian forests such as gibbons, Komodo dragons and a large variety of birds and reptiles. There are three exhibits consisting of an orangutan, moon bears, and gibbons.
Wadi Village
A recreational area to relax and enjoy the surroundings while sipping on a cup of hot coffee and a snack. For more fun, step into the adventure valley – a play area for adults and kids involving playground zone, climbing nets, zip-lining, bungee jumping and wall climbing.
Kids Farm
The kid's farm is an innovative way to bring children closer to animals. Here, children can learn and play with different farm animals like goats, sheep and cows.
