If you’re lucky, you can even catch a glimpse of his Holy Highness the Dalai Lama when he is in McLeodGanj. The temple is easily accessible on foot and vehicle from the mall road, McLeodGanj and is a must-visit for historians, those seeking an inner self, photographers and solo travelers.

How to reach: Walk down from the mall road or grab a taxi (Rs. 250) or an auto (Rs. 120 to 150) from McLeodGanj. You will actually cross the temple before entering McLeodGanj, giving you an idea of how far it is from your place of stay.
