There are three major airports in Kerala, which connect it with the rest of the world. You can go for day cruises or overnight houseboat stay on the backwaters at Alleppey. However, the houseboats are much better at Kumarakom. One can easily access Kerala from any part of the country by Road. The National Highways 17, 47 and 49 directly connect Tamil Nadu and Karnataka with the state. It also has a network of roads, state highways and national highways connecting important cities. You can always find private and government buses that run to Kerala from any important state or city in the country. There are buses available from destinations such as Alleppey, Thrissur, Kozhikode, Palakkad, Wayanad, Kannur, Ernakulam, Kottayam and Thiruvananthapuram to various cities across the state. You can also hire cabs that take you from these main cities to Kerala. This is the best way to reach Kerala as there abundant views on the way that will melt your heart.
