Very fewer people know about this place as it is situated about 27 km from Mahabaleshwar. This small little town is situated in the Koyna valley on the far backwaters of the Kandhati River, Solshi and Koynariver'sTriveni Sangam. Due to the splendour and tranquillity of the Shivsagar Lake, this place is also famously known as Mini Kashmir. This tourist site is a great place to enjoy scooter rides, speed boats and motorboat rides on the waters. Around the lake and deep in the forests there are many unidentified forts.
