Although the city sees visitors at all times of the year, the best time to visit Cape Town would ideally be from late January to April. This is essentially the latter summer months which makes it the perfect weather to hit the beaches. It is during this time that the strong south easterly winds cease to blow, thereby making it the perfect beach weather. June to August however; is a torrid time with heavy rains lashing out most of the time. Months after that see the weather improve and warm up.
