Koh Samet is located just 200km from capital Bangkok, and it is classified as a national park of great natural beauty. There are 14 white sand beaches on the island, which are surrounded by colourful coral reefs providing such aquatic sports like as various types of swimming, snorkeling and scuba diving. The important beach areas are: Saikaew Beach, AoPhai and AoVongDuan. Best time to visit is from October - May. Koh Samet is one of the driest places in Thailand.
