Places to visit in Mexico

Set 50 kms north-east from Mexico City, this is the most visited destination in the country. This monumental place is known for two massive pyramids, Piramide del Sol (Pyramid of Sun) and Piramide de la Luna (Pyramid of the moon). While exploring you may come across huge crowds, but is worth visiting.

This colonial palace is the home of President of Mexico and Federal Treasury. The first phase of the palace was built by Aztec emperor Moctezuma in early 16th century. Inside the palace, you’ll also see Diego Rivera murals (painted between 1929 and 1951) depicting Mexican civilization.

The location stands at the point where first hill rise out of Gulf coast plain and dense jungle covers the area. It is the house of 100 ruined buildings which are spread over 15sq km.

This museum is dedicated to Mexican renowned artist Frida Kahlo, who lived and died in Casa Azul. The museum is littered with memontos and other personal belongings which describes the relationship of Frida and her Diego Rivera. One can come across Kitchen implements, jewellery, outfits, etc. which are placed in large collection.

This museum showcases the historical and timeless artefact work of ancient Mexico. There are around 20 different venues to choose including The Rafael Coronel Museum, The Pedro Coronel Museum etc.

This museum houses fine art collection of Tamayo that includes paintings and sculpture of Picasso, Miro and Warhol.
