Situated at Langelinje Pier, this sculpture is inspired by the Hans Anderson fairy tale of the same name. Made of bronze and granite, this sculpture turned a hundred years old in 2013. The sculpture brings out scores of tourists every day who come to view and photograph it.

Denmark, being the oldest monarchy in the world, AmelienborgPalace is a must-visit spot while at Copenhagen. The compound is made up of four identical buildings – Christian VII’s Palace, Christian VIII’s Palace, Christian IX’s Palace and Frederik VIII’s Palace. One must visit during the changing of the Royal guards.

The NationalMuseum in Copenhagen provides a deep insight into the various stages of human history. It has exhibits from the different periods such has the Stone Age, the Viking Age, the Renaissance as well as the Middle Ages. 

One of the biggest attractions at Copenhagen, TivoliGardens has a lot of attractions to entertain people across all age groups. It is an important monument as well as an amusement park, which is more than a century old. You will find roller coasters, restaurants, bars, cafes and outdoor arenas having a range of performers all year round. Christmas time at Tivoli is magical. It is also home to the world’s oldest functioning roller coaster, the Rutschebanen.

Dyrehavsbakken, or Bakken in short, is the world’s oldest amusement park at an astounding 433 years. Apart from the dozens of roller coasters and rides, there are more than 2000 deer than can be spotted at this park.
