Places to visit in Kwantu

Kids have no dearth of fun and frolic here, playing with the lion cubs and generally exploring the Reserve on their own.

The former Zuurberg National Park is now a fragment of the Greater Addo Elephant Park. This mountainous region is categorized by steep wooded ravines with scraps of cycads, fynbos and sugarbush. Zuurberg is best understood on foot when on many hiking trails.

This odd house is an assorted concoction of architectural styles, the fancy of amateur astronomer Henry Carter Galpin. Locals would set their watches by the time on Galpin’s clock tower.

The museum describes the heroic activities of the Anti-apartheid movement.

A great part of African history is displayed and well documented here. You get to learn about the stories of the people who lived here and their sad endurance; it is a genuine community based museum.

It is a very interesting place to visit where there is a flight simulator and other fascinating planes on display.

The gates of this Game Reserve are open for all religions, which have the privilege to use religious facilities that are available on the Game Reserve. The two Christian denominations, the Anglican Church and the Methodist Church conduct their services in the church buildings at the reserve. There is a Musalaah for the Moslem Community for their religious  services while on their visit to the Game reserve.
