Jungfraujoch

Also known as the Top of Europe is one of the most scenic destinations in Switzerland. From the valleys of Interlaken, you will be transported to a fairytale of sorts of a place on a cogwheel train to an altitude of over 3,500 meters above sea levels. Nestled between the mountains of Jungfrau and Monch, the place is really something that will make you feel top of the world. A UNESCO World Heritage Site, the destination is only accessible by cogwheel trains and the railway station is the highest station in Europe. How to Reach

You can reach the Jungfraujoch only by a cogwheel train. The trains to Jungfraujoch terminate from Kleine Scheidegg, which can be in turn reached through Interlaken. You can reach Interlaken from either Lauterbrunnen or Grindelwald by taking trains from respective terminals. When you are taking the train, sit on the left to get a closer and a clearer view of the Alps. The train route from Kleine Scheidegg to Jungfraujoch is through tunnels and scenic Alpine slopes. The journey is by itself is an attraction. The approximate price for this trip will cost your Rs. 7,000.

There are no entry tickets as such but you have to pay for the train tickets that serves as an entry pass to the Jungfraujoch.

The trains from Kleine Scheidegg depart from morning 8:00 AM and operate till 4:00 PM.
