This temple is located very near to the main temple for worshipping Lord Shiva. It was built by the Rajmata (Queen Mother) AhilyabaiHolkar in 1782, to substitute for the main temple during times when temple was under attack or being ravaged due to hostile wars. This was done to ensure that the worship of Lord Shiva went on smoothly.
