Swayambhu Mandir In Nepal

One of the most popular holy shrines, Swayambhu Temple, is situated on a cone-shaped hill. This temple which is often regarded as the Monkey Temple has many stories behind its formation that made it quite popular among the tourists.

Known for: Huge golden shire, Tibetan prayer wheel, the painted statues of Buddha, and 365 steps that you need to take to reach the temple. 

How to reach: Take a tourist bus from Kathmandu

Cost: It will cost you INR 150-200 approximately.

Operating hours: 7 am to 7 pm

Any precautions/ must carry items etc.: Wear traditional clothes and comfortable shoes.
