King Tut Exhibit Egyptian Museum

The Tomb of Tutankhamun was discovered in an intact condition by Howard Carter in 1922. It is quite possibly among the most significant archaeological finds ever. Tutankhamun rules during the New Kingdom Period in Egypt nearly 3300 years ago. Following the untimely death of his father Akhenaten, Tutankhamun was crowned king at an early age of just nine years. His reign was short-lived, and he passes away in 1325 BC, the circumstances of his death are unknown and rather mysterious ones. Within 70 days of this death, his mummy was sealed and forgotten in time until Howard Carter stumbled upon it in 1922, thousands of years later. His gold encased mask, and priceless treasures are now on display at the famous Cairo Museum.
