Places to Visit in Glasgow

Almost 300 years old, this 7 storied building once served Glasgow as its city jail and justice building. The building is now recognized by its medieval styled Tower clock. A weather cock can also be seen on top of the building.

This 17th century building is counted among the famous ones in the city. The building being constructed in a Victorian style served as the Trade Federation of Glasgow. Inspired by the Pere Lachaise Cemetery in Paris, this is a famous site in Glasgow. This cemetery has a number of memorials, tombs and statues, but the most famous one is the giant statue of John Knox. The cemetery provides you an amazing view of the surrounding landscape.

The Palace was opened in 1898, constructed beautifully with Red Sandstone. The building is lavish and attracts thousands of tourists. The Palace has gardens, botanical plants and is a great place to relax. The people's palace was renovated in 1998, in the interest of preserving the historical site. There is a beautiful fountain nearby as well. 

This Church is known for its modern Architecture, and the park outside is really well kept. The church is beautifully built, and the inscriptions in and out are worth your time. This place is full of tranquility and one will definitely be impressed from the look of the Cathedral.

This is an interesting place to visit, for it houses the Govan stones of 9th and 11th Century. It's unlike other Churches, rather small but it has its own charm.
