March –May is definitely a good time when the temperatures are not scorching and the desert looks beautiful with the flower carpet and the hills are colourful. The only disadvantage could be the desert wind which is dusty and therefore irritating.
June –September heat is very dry but not uncomfortable, but Aqaba where the temperature rises above 45 degrees and suffers from a dry and hot wind. The brown landscape is marred of its beauty during these months.
mid Sept-mid Nov could be a lovely time for a visit with the first rainfall blooming the parched countryside.
December-February months are chilly in Amman and Petra but Aqaba provides a fine retreat with warmth and sunshine.
